Our theme for the day is “Empowering Our CommUNITY of Learners”. A number of your colleagues have organized a variety of learning sessions that will provide practical applications for lesson design relevant to multiple grades/content areas. We have also incorporated sessions pertaining to personal health, wealthness, and cultural responsiveness as a means to start us off #Sycamorestrong.
Some important points to highlight:
We will begin the day at SHS from 7:20 a.m. to 7:50 am with breakfast in the Commons
Mr. Forsthoefel will provide his opening address in the HS Theater at 8:00 a.m. (band will signal to head there)
All meetings will be held at the high school, including building meetings.
All staff should bring your school laptop to the Professional Development Day!!!
Lunch (on your own) - This year staff members will CHOOSE one of three times (between 11:10 and 1:30)to go to lunch. Like last year, we will have food trucks: (Texas Joe, Dickies BBQ, S.E.A. Cuisine, Empanadas Aqui) located outside of the HS Athletic entrance with patio seating. Rudino’s will be offering a pizza and salad combo in the Commons. La Terza Coffee will be available for purchase as well. We are providing these on-site lunch choices to eliminate your need to leave campus but you may do so if you choose.
